You know what they say about broken clocks.unless you're trying to say Donald did something cool as hell.
It only matters if "looks cool" is a meaningful qualification for running a country.

Man I get so tired of socialism being thrown around like it's some dirty word. We live in the third largest country by population on the planet. Some systems have to be socialized so people can eat, pay rent, put gas in their cars, see doctors etc. These aren't new issues. I'm pretty sure we're not at risk of Russian Collectivism or anything like that. The boogeyman isn't real.It honestly doesn't matter. We'll get our tastes of socialism in the country to please the wackos, country will go to shit, people will die, and all the major population centers that voted for it will reap what they sow.
Do you know what boot licking is?Loving you boot lockers as always.
Me, "I don't like this political personality"
You, "oh you're just a trumpet blower"

Some people in the UK would consider Biden and Harris/Walz as right of centre, compared to UK politics and Trump somewhere right of The Joker, but I couldn't possibly comment..Fixed that for you.
Looks like he served as a command sergeant major, but retired prior to completing the requirement to retire with the rank, so, depending on the specific wording of a claim, this may be a stretch.
But he had put in for retirement two months before any notification of his unit’s deployment, so any deployment dodging claims are bullshit. For actual draft/deployment dodging, see Donald Trump’s claims of bone spurs. Do you have a word for this?
I didn’t realize that Bernie Sanders* or Elizabeth Warren* were running in 2024.
* Even they are only radical in comparison to the far right. Left? Yes. Radical? No.
By the US definition, most countries in Europe are "socialist". And even the UK's most right-wing parties wouldn't abolish free healthcare (I suspect that goes for other far-right European parties, but happy to be corrected).Man I get so tired of socialism being thrown around like it's some dirty word. You know what other welfare system could use a closer look and some widespread reform? The military welfare system. Privatization the last 30 years has done that system a whole lot of good, right?
Die by what? You know the "woke mind virus" isn't a real virus, right? That it's a metaphor? Like, you can't "get a case of the socialism" and die. You're not going to be on your deathbed thinking "if I only I hadn't cared so much about my fellow man" before succumbing to a severe student loan forgiveness. You're not going to get a phone call from the authorities informing you that one of your loved ones had their head explode because it couldn't contain all the subsidized education. Or maybe folks will be at higher risk of house fires when they can afford houses. Or maybe we'll be health-care'd to death. I bet that's it. We'll have too much access to health care, and die of option paralysis.people will die
The NHS has been demolished in the last 14 years, and our current government has shown no signs of reversing that. Many NHS services just stopped seeing patients as policy.By the US definition, most countries in Europe are "socialist". Demolished is a tad dramatic, but I don't disagree: the NHS was suffering before covid and afterwards was subjected to further austerity. The NHS has been demolished in the last 14 years, and our current government has shown no signs of reversing that. Even a complete dipshit narcissistic coward man-child like Donnie Dollhands can accidentally do a cool thing once or twice in his life.
You can interpret that however you want, but I think it's misleading.“We can make sure that those weapons of war, that I carried in war, is the only place where those weapons are at,” Walz said in the video.
That's pretty thin.I think Walz has been pretty transparent about his service, but CNN points to one misleading statement he said in a video for the ban of assault weapons, from CNN:
You can interpret that however you want, but I think it's misleading.
Not anything that would influence my election choice, it's just typical politician posturing![]()
You live in London and cancer services are the one thing actually operating sort of properly.Demolished is a tad dramatic, but I don't disagree: the NHS was suffering before covid and afterwards was subjected to further austerity.
But I still got extensively tested and cleared of having cancer within three months of symptoms, and entirely for free. And had I'd got bad news, I'd be on chemo and prioritised for surgical intervention.
For free.
Not bad for a system that's been "demolished".
Like I said, I don't disagree that the NHS has seen better days. And I'm genuinely sorry you've had the experience you've had.You live in London and cancer services are the one thing actually operating sort of properly.
I can almost guarantee I've had more serious run ins with the NHS than most people my age and haven't had complaints. But that is a very different matter to whether or not general non life threatening care is functioning. I legit waited 4 years on an operation to prevent me being crippled. Adult ADHD services in parts of the country have 10 year waits, that's not an exaggeration. Gender clinics are over 6 years in some places.
And again, this is not a result of austerity. This is a policy of treating as few patients as possible.
Right, more than anything I feel like Trump/Vance are getting what they want by us (rather me, i brought it up) even discussing dumb minutia like thisYeah "war" eh but contextually I interpreted it as carrying a gun during obligations arising from military service. He said carried, didn't say he was shooting or getting shot at. The overarching point of the quote wasn't really to flex combat experience, it was to say he was familiar with the weapons as a vet (just as much as someone like Vance) and it doesn't mesh with civilian settings.
I didn't say that that though.Like I said, I don't disagree that the NHS has seen better days. And I'm genuinely sorry you've had the experience you've had.
But knowing as many people as I do do across the NHS, from frontline workers to senior execs, I can tell you that your conclusion is way off base. Part of the reason so many doctors are leaving the NHS is burn-out from trying to make up for underfunding. Your view that austerity has nothing to do with that, or the fact that junior doctors are on £14 ph is, at best, ill-informed.
