SoundClick artist: Josh Bellaire - I've been writing music for a while, and these are the latest creations.

I've been working on this one all morning, trying to get the basic pattern for this section done...still need to work on the bass drum patterns, and gotta get to the velocities, but it's coming along nicely.

A few more tweaks to "Gordon's Adventure"

Still miles from finished, but I'm sort of getting the hang of making the drums feel how I want them to...

If you record two guitar tracks and pan them left and right it will sound much fuller and better, I don't know if you're recording just one track to demo the song though....my 2 cents

I just recorded one track, mono signal into a stereo track, then used the mono to stereo plugin. Im just doing it that way to program the drum tracks, then im going back and re-doing the guitars.

Great stuff, I like your riffs a lot!
Also cool drum programming.

What did you use as a DAW?

Did you just use DFH sound as it is without any further processing in your DAW?
It does not sound like you applied any further processing or EQing to the drums, but I'm just curious.

No processing or eq at this point, just trying to get the patterns done. As far as the DAW I'm using Cubase LE4, the guitar tone is the cube ran direct into the Lexicon Alpha usb interface. I've done a bunch of other stuff, but that computer took a crap, so I'm starting fresh. On the previous stuff, I started with the two guitar tracks, one using the recto setting and the other using the metal setting, panned almost completely left/right...and damn, it sounds huge!!

Thanks for the kind words, and keep checking back, I'll be updating almost daily (except for this weekend, won't be around) with whatever progress is made.

Cool !:yesway:

Does the Cube have a speaker simulation or did you use a software speaker simulation in Cubase?

The cube has a recording/headphone out jack that I just plug straight into the lexicon. I'm glad there have been good things said about the guitar, especially since these are just the scratch tracks. All the clips you hear are just one guitar, one take, no emphasis on nailing anything. I did this just to have a reference for the drum patterns. Gordon's Adventure is just about ready to get the real guitar tracks. Im going to a friends house over the weekend to see if I can get some really killer tone out of this thing.

Stay tuned!
