I’m glad he’s taking his time with it. I’d much rather wait for a much better amp.

What's the price guesstimate: over or under $1000€ ?

There was an interview a while ago where he suddenly mentioned he'd just picked up a genuine Dumble, and seemed a bit embarrassed about how much it cost. He didn't say the exact amount though.

Definitely over 1K.

If i remember right, the Archon 100w cost just over 2K, and the new 50w clocks in at 1K, so I’m willing to bet that the MT100 will be closer to the original Archon 100 price range. Keep in mind that PRS discontinued the Archon 100, probably to make room for the MT100.

My personal prediction is around $2,300 to $2,500.

Should be built overseas, if the mt15 is 700 or so, I'd say this'll be around $1k.
We’ll be lucky if it’s that cheap, but i highly doubt it will be.

PRS just released the Archon 50w, which is 1K, and they’ll completely cripple their sales if they price the MT100 around the same price.

My guess is $1700 at the lowest, $2500 at the highest.

Likely coming in at $2100. Maybe $2199.

In the above video he said he is doing the same as the MT15 and trying to keep the price point low as possible, which probably means overseas manufacture. With any luck it'll be <£1500 since the MT15 has hovered between £400-500 depending on the time of year in the UK. Not sure what that would be in other economies cause it seems almost random which areas various companies screw over with their pricing and distribution.

The USA archon does contain quality components though, Alpha pots and a ClassicTone PT to name a couple.

The hold up on the release has been the dumble channel and the price point. He mentions in the video the difficulty on eq'ing the channel. I have a feeling the MT-100 we get is not going to be the same as his amp because of that.

I wonder how many of these powerful monsters go into a cab versus a cab sim…
Hey, as long as people are enjoying them, what does it matter, right? I'm sure it'll be a great amp and sound awesome regardless of how it's used.

He's got a point, though. 100W monsters squeezed into a loadbox and a cabIR for home use are the music equivalent of driving your Ferrari around your house

But hey, to each their own. Market will always adapt to the demand and newer amplifiers are loaded with plenty of those features. As long as gear can be used in multiple ways, everybody's happy!
