its just a standard c-7 with a satin finish.

25.5 scale
mahogany body

great quality for the price.

:yesway:
It's a 1999 model (the serial number starts with 99), and that figuring going on under the finish there is definitely ash. I've seen these around but I've never seen any in this color.. also these ARE 25.5" right? I'm looking to trade my Epiphone Futura EX for this bad boy. I know the futura is worth 600 new, then the blackouts I put in it.. but it sounds quacky in the midrange and only suits either clean or mid-scooped metal (I keep my mids around 7 nowadays.. and thats on a valveking 100, and with a boost on. I'm an absolute mid-man) and I just can't stand how it sounds, and been looking for CENTURIES for an ash 7 (no, the SR370 isn't ash, it's mahogany). Does a futura EX sound like a good swap for one of these?

Yeah, I've seen the blue version of this 2 or 3 times, but I've NEVER seen a satin brown version of this C7... Makes me question if this might've been a refinish?

I'm gonna be getting it tomorrow, if things go well.. many pics will follow :)

Nope it's not a refinish. That's a C-7 in Walnut Satin.

Yep definitely a late 90s model, as you already know...the Diamond inlays were cool IMO, my 99 T1 has them. I can't tell, are those Duncan Designed pups in there?

Yup, DD pups. JB/59 DD iirc, so they should sound fine. If I dislike I can prolly get them rewound for a small fee, instead of replacing them with a jb/59 set since thats a waste considering the DD JB/59 are the normal JB/59 just manufactured in asia.

i like these, i had one for my first seven...it's funny how much that headstock has grown on me too, i think it's really original. with better pickups i think it would be i VERY good guitar...i like the color too mine was red like the picture below your first post.
