Anyone here tracking bands with an electronic drum kit?

Title says all. I'm in the market to pick up something affordable but decent so that bands can come in and track on an ekit, rather than cramming a set in my house, recording it, then going back and sampling/editing.

How do most drummers deal with it? Are they able to play on it well, or is it too drastic of a difference to the point where it totally changes the way they play?
