I use a 10-60 set , Dean Markley LTHB-7 is the name . The 60 is big , but works really well at tightening the bottom end up . Not floppy at all .macalpine88 said:just out of curiosity, what gauge strings do you have to use if it is tuned so low

Seriously though, I use a .060 for my low B and it's totally clear. I really do think it has a lot to do with the pickups; my bridge pickup is a Duncan JB-7, very trebly and clear.
