Apogee One + External Mic latency

I bought an SM57 today, mic'd up my Orange 412 and when I choose the ext mic as input on my apogee there is considerable latency. Only seems to be with the external mic, the built in one is fine and instrument input is good too. Using Logic if that matters. Any ideas?

EDIT: I should've known, a restart fixed it. Now to figure out where to position the mic....

I just bought an sm 57 like 4 days ago. If you need help positioning it, read the instructions that come with it. it has a chart that talks about micing amps, and what each positioning sounds like.
