Emperor - In the Nightside Eclipse
I like Emperors demo and one or two of the Eps or splits they released, but that is the only proper album I like by them.

This.
Also:
Mastodon - Leviathan
Dimmu Borgir - Stormblast (90s version. Remake was absolute shit)
Animals as Leaders - Weightless

I'm sure there are others, but I can't think of them.

Linkin Park - Meteora

My brother had Hybrid Theory but I feel like compared to Meteora it's just not up to snuff. Aside from that there's not many I can think of where I only like one album.

Edit: The Decemberists - Crane Wife III

I have "Hazards of Love" but there's a main theme that gets repeated in too many songs, too many times so it feels like you're not making any progress through the album. CW3 just moves so seamlessly from song to song and then ends on a really great note.

There might be more, but here's what comes to my mind:
Within the Ruins - Elite
TesseracT - One
Vanisher - The History Of Saints

Queens of the Stone Age - Songs For The Deaf. Nothing else they've ever put out even gets close to the rockage on that album. I don't hate their other stuff (especially s/t), but I can rarely sit though a whole album without getting bored and just switching back to SFTD

I really like Lullabies to Paralyze too, but I get what you're saying with the rest of it for sure.

Born of Osiris - The New Reign

Although I really like this album, the rest of their stuff is so boring to me.

I feel the same way. There are some gems in the other albums, but overall, none of them is as consistent as Songs for the Deaf. :yesway:

And, until Surgical Steel came out, Heartwork was the only Carcass album I liked.

Flame suit on:
Meshuggah - Chaosphere

I was actually going to post the same but with Destroy Erase Improve instead of Chaosphere. But I also like Chaosphere a lot. I don't really listen to Meshuggah besides these two records hehe

Within the Ruins - Elite
Caribou - Swim

I dunno why but for some reason...

RATM - RATM
Mudvayne - LD50
Slipknot - Slipknot

...i dont "hate" the other albums... but its just mostly meh to me.

Good call here, I agree with this. And yes I don't hate the albums that followed from each of these bands, but these albums happened to be their best efforts IMO. LD50 is still crazy heavy. Martini is an animal on the bass.

There are people who only like Autotheism from The Faceless? :spock:

Man that shocked me, too.

Speaking of Faceless, I only like Planetary Duality, but I've yet to listen to their first album.

Born of Osiris - A Higher Place
Slipknot - Mate, Feed, Kill, Repeat
Machine Head - Burn My Eyes (Yes, I don't like The Blackening that much)
Cynic - Focus
30 Seconds to Mars - 30 Seconds to Mars
Whitechapel - Whitechapel (Sorry Alex )
Korn - Issues
Motley Crue - Motley Crue

Arthemesia - Deus Iratvs
At the Gates - Terminal Spirit Disease
Dark Suns - Existence
Edge Of sanity - Crimson
Masterplan - Aeronautics
Nightwish - Oceanborn
Sonata Arctica - Reckoning Night (Unia has good moments too though)
Stam1na - Stam1na

just don't feel the need for the other albums of said bands when I have these. Haven't yet listened to the new Stam1na though so that is subject to change.
