Okay, I bought this thing last month from peavey_impact. I got it a few weeks back. I know what you're saying: why so late with the NGD? I have a legitimate excuse, though: my camera was being used to shoot porn. So, that said, I've carefully reconstructed the events on the actual NGD (as opposed to the observed NGD). Enjoy!

Hmm, a box...

Hmm, a box from a different angle... but how to open it?

My string wrapping job is kind of hilarious:

Bit of a stretch:

My initial reactions: the frets are way small, the stock F# definitely wasn't .72 (I put a .72 on there after I got it), the scale length is not bad at all, but having to use a .09 for the high E sucks. I'm considering tuning this thing lower so that I can get a .10 on without having too much tension, but I think that I might have to compromise with having this teeny little E string. The edges of the fretboard have some metallic smudges in some places, probably from when they were cleaning up the frets in the factory. It came off, for the most part, when I cleaned the fretboard. I might have it refretted at some point with some jumbos, just so it feels a bit easier to play. As is, there's no fret buzz, but I wish I could get the action a bit lower without fretting out on the upper frets. Overall, pretty good guitar.

Don't I know it. That cat's a complete asshole, and he makes human sized dumps. Fortunately, though, he has a soft side, and you can make him break dance.

Thanks! I think the finish is called "ghostburst". I haven't seen it available for a while, so it's a little unique.

We picked him up from a vet's office after he attacked two kids. I think you can put two and two together.

I like how he actually makes the guitar look small.

Thanks! I traditionally haven't done picstories, but I figured I'd have a little bit of fun. As soon as I get some decent light, I'll take the Intrepid outside and get some photos to show off the finish. If you get close enough, you can see a bit of the ash grain on the front.

I think he's 26 pounds. We've had him on a diet for a while now. He thinks he can boss around other cats, because of his size, but he's great with humans, aside from those two kids he tried to eat. Anyway, he's much happier since we adopted him.

Oh, and I think that some of the Septor 8's have Intreprid headstocks. At least that's what I saw on the Rondo site.
