Best tool for cooley mod on 7321?

what would be the best tool to do the cooley mod to my lower horn?


i was thinkin just a decent rasp and final sanding?

nothing?

Well I got a hack saw and cut off most of it with that, then got a sanding wheel to smooth it all out.

For mine i just used a 40 or 80 grit belt sander strip and did it by hand, it didnt take as long as it sounds like it would though, although the hacksaw idea above could remove the bulk pretty quickly.

Go for the rasp and file man! You can tear away a huge amount in no time with some rasps.

I'm very tempted to try this when i refinish my 7421.

I'm afraid I'd ruin one of my favorite guitars though. hmmm.

Lol, I'll probably try it out on a junker squier body I have laying around, just to get the technique down.

It won't look the exact same, but hopefully I'll get the general idea.

Just did my Schecter A-7 with a dremel sander. Did it in a moderate amount of time and gave alot of control. Pics of my modded and tung-oiled A-7 should be forthcoming soon!
