sounds like you want a 5150/6505 or a rectifier. I guess it depends on whether you want a ton of mids or more of a scooped mids. I had a OG 5150 and that had a pretty big bottom end.

OP, how's your 5150 biased? if too cold, which is how they are usually set, it will sound thinner.

The old block and sig Peavey 5150 is the biggest sounding one followed by the EVH 5150III Stealth. The Stealth has that extra bottom end and looser feel that is close to the old 5150.
Like they went full circle from OG, 5150 II then the EVH 5153s, then back since the EVH line has no OG equivalent.

Too much gain maybe? Can’t explain better but too much gain just squeezes your tone or dynamics.
My 5150 through Orange ppc 412 sounds fat and I dont feel it’s lacking anything next to rectifier ( not much gain).

I always recommend a Diezel if anyone wants a Huge Boomy Low Box.

Also are you strictly using the red channel? Have you tried using the blue channel more? I know the 50w blue channel sounds different than the 100w, but it's supposed to be a little rounder soundng

Side answer: The Victory Kraken is the thickest 5150 (inspired) variant. Hands down.

Get an RM100 and load it full of KT88's and the Synergy 6505 module. Thru a Mesa OS cab of course.
If I ever manage to get mine fixed...

This is through both the blue and red channels. Fwiw, I like the blue channel more than the red. The red to too compressed. Past 11 o’clock, the red channel has too much gain.
