got an sg and some extra cash, I'm a huge fan of the aftermath's and have been thinking about throwing a set into my epiphany g400 custom. Anyone done anything similar? is the bass response going to be there? or is it going to be weak and airy sounding?

I've tried the aftermath in two guitars yet, and in both the bass was definitely very strong and tight. I wouldn't be worried about lack of bass at all.

i just worry that there won't be enough wood in the guitar to allow the pickup to work, i've ran into similar problems with invaders and an older les paul

I have a gibby 61 reissue SG. Put a set of rebel yells in it. They work out great. Another good pair to try would be Emeralds or Blackdogs... or go in another direction with Warpigs. Have fun!
