Interesting. I used the calculator and inputting a price of $1,600 received a total of $1,682 final price for US buyers. Which did not inclue local 7% sale tax which if applied would come in at $1,794 for a Feral 8 with DiMarzios and case. Not bat at all.

Are the prices going to change after the run or will they stay relatively the same for in stock Ferals?

I hope to keep the prices as they are now, but currency exchange rates are changing like crazy sometimes so if prices change, this would be the cause.

Gotcha. I figured there would be currency fluctuation but I can't get in on the run so I would looking at getting one later so I wanted to make sure this wasn't just special run pricing. :)

We are Polish company, but instead of using Polish currency (zloty), we set prices in euro because people are more familiar with that (and we allow converting to dollar with 3% upcharge to google exchange rate). We use parts from Germany, UK, Japan, USA and manufacturing is in Poland so it's a balance of 5 currencies. Good thing is that when something becomes more expensive, other cost gets lower. For example some currencies changed by 5% since I've calculated the pricelist but after pasting new rates to my main calculation sheet, it turned out that prices of guitars didn't move. But it's not always like that and we live in interesting times. If my hardware costs become higher in longer perspective caused by bad exchange rate, I'll have to raise the price a bit.

Some progress. DiMarzios are in, BKPs are still being manufactured.

I think mine is the one right there :wub3: haha

Those 3 pieces bodies? From the angle, it looks like 2 piece.

In some cases we unfortunately don't have 3 pieces small enough to do 3 piece body. So yes it can happen that Feral will be 2 piece, but we don't promise anything.

I guess a lot of people will be very upset about getting a 2-piece body instead of the 3-piece they ordered. You should prepare for class action against you.

 just kidding  Those look pretty damn good!!

Sure it is. Bad news is that DiMarzio distributor doesn't have any d-activators 8 in stock and wait is long, good news is that we have great access to Seymour Duncan Pickups now, including custom shop. I'm ordering first batch of duncans as we speak and we will probably use new models (Nazgul/Sentient) or Distortion model as default instead of DiMarzios (DiMarzios will still be available too).

Hi! I've seen on GuitarCandy the 2013 Pricelist for BlacKat guitars.
I am very interested in your guitars especially after watching Ola Englund's videos.
My question is: If I choose a Feral 6 string with longer scale (27'') which I think it costs 15 euros more, what tuning would have the guitar?
Drop B? B? Standard E?
And in the case you install the new SD pickups, would I have to pay extra cash?
I am very interested in Baritones and I´m in Spain.
Thank you.

The guitar will/can have any tuning you want! You can tune every string to F if you want

Price won't change with Duncans as long as we're talking about passive pickups with open black bobbins. You can have any tuning, just tell us in order notes. Normally I tune baritones to C and baritone 7 to A.

Well, since Tom can't update the thread right now and not sure how many on here watch his facebook page, I'll take some initiative and post some Feral updates. Because if you're in this run, like me, you're excited to see some updates and these come to fruition.
