Brain Drill was for real. They disbanded a few years ago. Awesome band.

Thoroughly enjoy Viraemia, wish they'd rehash and play.
Just bought a shirt from their old bassist. Awesome dude and not gonna lie a personal hero music wise.
Yeah, would've loved to see what would have happened musically if they had time to evolve.

Crazy band.

I do have to admit, in my opinion Dinger was a much better album than Embryonic Anomaly. However, I really do find myself listening to E.A. much more often.
OK, I somehow never get the urge to listen to E.A.

But on the topic of Brain Drill I loved Parasites when it first came out. It was the perfect EP for me at that time, I just wanted something extremely technical and intense but after that EP I didn't listen to them for a couple of years. Then I got the urge again and started listening to Parasites again as well as checking their full lengths out.

It's a band I listen to a lot for a short period of time and then I take a break for a while.

I can appreciate what BD do/did without actually liking it very much.

Does that make sense?

That makes a whole lot of sense to me at least.

I think it's a certain maturity being able to appreciate the quality of art without actually liking it.

brain drill is everything wrong with modern tech death.
Nope, Brain Drill is everything YOU don't like about modern tech death.

Just because it exists doesn't mean you have to listen to it or like it. :yesway:
