Can i buy a petrucci trem?

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this, and i know its probably been asked before, but i have done some searching and haven't found anything definite.

Is it possible to buy just the bridge/trem on the musicman petrucci? I've been talking to a luthier about a custom build, and he would gladly install the trem if we could get it.

So is it possible? I would be looking for the 7 string version...

I very much doubt Ernie Ball will supply one, if they would it would be at a hefty premium!

The short answer is no, if you want something similar look at the Hipshot trem

^ EBMM will NOT sell a bridge, at least to me, I asked. If you have a guitar with a damaged bridge they'll ask you to send the guitar in for a replacement.

The hipshot contour is very high quality and of all the bridges I've used it's the closest to the jp trem, but the jp trem is still a better trem IMHO.

Get rich. Buy a JP7. Rip the trem out.

Then you'll have a kickass guitar with an awesome trem and a crazy sick guitar with no trem
