Carvin 7 string 2nd hand price in UK

I am considering selling my Carvin 727, I 95% of the time play with 6 strings and need a single coil 6er. I have no idea how much to ask for it, since the price increase to the U.K. these are not cheap and it is in mint condition. I bought it mid 2009. spec is:

$1610 at a guess, can't be pounds as that would be £500 more than I paid for my 727 last year........Carvin never hold their value so you'll be lucky to get 2/3 of that but in any case - put up a sales thread, or don't.....generally appraisals/feelers are pointlessly speculative.

It is pounds, that was a current quote seems they have gone up a lot

I would say around £500 - £600. I bought my old DC135 for £400 and managed to make a little profit from a deal with a local shop so I can't imagine a 7 string Carvin going for much more than £600.

Didn't cost that initially though - and people are going to realise it :)

FWIW that increase does seem accurate as my 727 would cost approximately the same amount but it doesn't really change the fact that they don't hold their value regardless of the near 50% increase in prices in the EU.

I'd sadly concur :ugh:I bought mine expecting as much and as dissapointing as it is, and irrespective of the quality hardly anything with the Carvin logo attached realises much worth second hand.

Considering you bought it in 09 £500/600 sounds realistic.
