Hi everyone!!!:wavey:

Two weeks ago a receive a bass to modified, it`s a Korean J-bass.
The brand is "corona", but thats no matter, maybe that no exist:ugh:

the bass have 3 or 4 years old, the truss rod was never adjusted, strings never changed, and I think they never clean it either.

so, my job was pimp it, make it playable, and naturalized.
Was like this.

The first problem was the neck

I take off the paint with the same blade, the paint seems like a plastic cover, really easy to remove.

to my surprise, the body is basswood (is a 100$ bass, they always are plywood or agathis)

now the neck is straight, and action acceptable low.

scalloped 19 and 20 fret.

Good work, man. :agreed: That wood isn't the most attractive thing in the world, but neither was the paint job. ;)

Lookin' much better! Do you plan on trying to seal or stain it in the future?

maybe, I have a generic wood ink but I try it under the pick ward and the stupid basswood just become brown, very dark brown.
I don`t sanded after takin off the "paint" and the body keeps the lacquer, over that, I apply the colour (thats why the bass is a little yellow).

I don`t wan`t to take off the lacquer, the wood is sooooo soft, you can scratched with a nail.
