It bugs me on some level that the "review" video never actually attempts to pick up and play the instrument. It just nitpicks things that I wouldn't expect to be stellar on a $200 instrument in the first place. The finish looks cheap compared to a pro instrument? No kidding! I've always praised the Squier stuff because despite the cheapness of them, any one I've tried has *played* and *sounded* fine despite cutting corners in other places. It could also just be that you're getting all the lemons. At least if you can pick something up in a store, there's a chance that someone stopped and went "nope, this is garbage, we can't actually display this" before it makes it to a shelf for the world to see.
