vmod <- check it out here on bandcamp. i might put it on itunes/amazon and such later.

heavy, probably metal, groove-oriented, ambient. 36 minutes. i had to revisit some of the darker stages of my life to put this together. to keep it succinct, it's a timeline of how i grew up, and it's all about overcoming the darker stages in a person's life in the name of love and absolution.

i wrote and recorded everything alone, but the other guitarist from the old live vmod band co-wrote the guitars on 1 and 3 and wrote all of the guitars on 10.

any feedback is very much appreciated. i'm always very grateful for any support as well. if anyone has any questions or anything, i'll be fielding them over the weekend. and forever. heh

Look at Johnny New Guy here, all "oh, listen to my music!"

Seriously, though, you all should listen to this.

Not what I expected from the album cover. Was expecting some trippy ambient shit but instead I got pretty sludgy metal. Good though!

Wow dude. The original VMOD album was just fun and rockin', but this, this is legit. "Earth" is one hell of an album opener.

Not what I expected when I first saw the artwork, but after listening it does fit well.
Cool music :)

i agree 100%, ico. the truth of it is that anything i wrote prior to this was written prior to an emotional awakening. i feel like everything before ahcm is just immature and backed by nothing.

anthony, meta, soll: you rule. can i ask, in rethinking the artwork, what do you see?

bumpin! please give my insanely heavy concept album a listen. if you haven't heard it, i don't think you'll expect to hear what you'll hear. i don't talk much about my own music, but i really don't feel like there is much like this out there. it's very groove-oriented and ambient. the riffs are tall, slow, and heavy. but still very emotional. the first 3 songs are kind of slow and are what most people hear, but it feels like most people are happiest with the stretch of tracks 4-6 and beyond now that it's been out for a little while. the album really picks up for most people about there.

Please don't change the artwork. It adds to the amazingness. Can I ask what type of guitar/tuning you used?

oh i sought the artist out on purpose, i'm so proud of the way everything came together, i'll never change this artwork! i WOULD change the art on my first album, because bleh, and because it never had any.

the guitars i used were mainly a schecter c7 hellraiser in various tunings (usually B and drop A), a schecter v8 hellraiser (usually F# or up a half step to G), and a 6string gibson flying v in standard on the last song.

thatguy87, thank you so very much. i'm enthralled that you also like the first cd! i really hope you'll come back here and tell me and these fine folks what you think! good or bad. i love all feedback.
