Forgive me if this has been posted already:

I think some of my respect has returned for him.

With the RATM reunion, and Cornell's solo album coming out, color me unsurprised.

:agreed: This was long coming.

I'm glad it's official now.

Didn't Audioslave break up right before their first album was released?

I could swear that they only got back together because some tracks leaked and shitloads of people loved it.

is the RATM reunion still just a one-time thing?

I kinda saw this coming what with the RATM reunion and Cornells solo album, and yeah I'm pretty sure they did break up just before their first album was released.

:funny:

Soundgarden did rock pretty hard. I would love to see them get back together if they still could rock like they did on Badmotorfinger.

Guess I'm in the minority here... I really enjoyed Audioslave's first two albums. Revelations didn't have as many good tracks as the first two, but I still enjoyed the album.

As Cornell's been working on his solo career, I was expecting this to happen though.

I was never that impressed by Audioslave. None of the songs I heard grabbed me, and there didn't seem to be any of the energy of either RATM or Soundgarden.

I loved the first Audioslave CD, but the second seemed way to radio friendly, so I guess I'm ok with their splitting!
