what amp/rig setup?

So the first half is just the Activator? sounds pretty sweet for rhythm, definately gonna get one for my bridge I think

Sounds like a very warm pickup, has a EMGish sound too it as well. A good bit of Crunch too, nice clip.

That harmony feedback bit at the end is sweet! But gah, it was killing me after a few moments.

Nice playing, nice sound. Like Dan says, surprisingly warm.

Triple Recto, 1960A with G12T-75's and Vintage 30's in an X pattern.

Yes, first half of the solo is 100% D Activator.

how do you think it compares to an actual emg then?
do you think it is better? what are the advantages and disadvantages of this pickups?

have you already given a review?

That's pretty nice! It actually seems more or less as advertised. It sounds kind of like an EMG, but more natural, less compressed, and it actually seems a lot clearer, too.

It's more organic in its sound and feel, not as hi-fi, just as clear. I like 'em both! :hbang:

Demoledor macho! Destructor, dude!

I like it, sounds very good, but i think that the guitar needs a little more of volume.

The remix sounds even better! You're a little part of the reason I'm leaning a bit toward a D-Activator for the guitar I'll be getting soon. Would you say it's a good choice for getting a Lundgren kind of sound out of a DiMarzio? Or can you not really comment one way or the other?
