At home, I keep Studio One open on my PC (Win 10) all the time, running Helix Native (or some other VST) and pick up the guitar and practice or noodle on it all the time. It works great. I've got another track in that template with SSD5 on it and a simple drum beat.

If I'm noodling and watching Youtube or whatever and decide that maybe I'd like to play with drums, the drums will always cut out and lag for a long time before they start playing properly. If I watch in Task Manager, I can see the memory Studio One is using slowly go from ~200 megs to ~350 megs. It sure looks like the drum samples are getting paged to disk and reloaded when I hit play.

Does anybody know any way around this, other than disabling swap entirely? It's super annoying.
