Well w/o reading all this I'll give you something else from NAMM they did..

Normally there's NAMM parties and you just have to get a laminate pass to get in...which is free, you just have to know somebody (one of the sponsors etc).... this year Dean skimped on the other sponsors passes till last minute so they could force the random people walking around the convention to pay $20 for a Dean T-Shirt and you got 1 Pass with it... So then they had people wearing their shirts everywhere (great marketing) but then you had people who should be there paying along with a bunch've random people that shouldn't of been there in the first place being at the party that normally wouldn't of been.
