Yeah, but when you've got a cavity that size that's mostly empty, why not embed the battery door in the cavity cover instead of digging another hole in the body for it?

Because you've already got a stack of cover plates without holes in them that are that size? I dunno.

 I think the purple camo on that one Carpenter wins that prize...
that looks cool though, this one is meh, I'd play it for sure, the axe is badass but I wouldn't buy it.

that half the guitars sound. Making it a reduced sized body to save weight and then shrinking the control cavity as much as they could work to add all that weight back would be very counterproductive, no?

so it is small body + big control cavity = ridiculous high end bite for an all mahogany guitar

Agreed. I don't really question the people who buy them, I just wonder what Jackson was thinking - the black one outsells it like 7:1, and it's $300 extra for a very questionable graphic...

Mine didn't outprice the black one--that's why I bought it. :yesway:

But yeah, no way I'd actually pay *more* for a guitar that could only manage to hide in a lettuce patch.

Why on earth does a guitar with one pickup and one volume pot need such a GIGANTIC control cavity, AND a separate battery compartment? That seems like an awful lot of wood removal for very little purpose.

Well, there's enough space for a piezo preamp and its battery. :agreed:

If the COW had a trem i'd be tempted to fill my oversized cavity with a Sustainiac circuit board and controls and fit a driver where the neck pickup would normally go (if it had one).
You've gotta' have a trem to make the most of infinite sustain really though.

A piezo install would be pretty cool in a COW as well though.
It would be ideal to give you a crystal clear clean sound that would more than make up for the lack of a neck pickup.Hmmmm.....?????

I think Ghost make tunomatic piezo saddles too don't they ?

The Desert Camo is so ugly, I've yet to even see COW himself play one.
[action=Shannon]patiently waits for some asshat to post said pic of COW playing this guitar.[/action]
