First swap out of the standard RG7420 pickups.
The Super Distortion is less hot (13kohm vs 16kohm) than the standard Ibanez V87 and the Ionizer is less hot than the standard V77 (9.4 kohm vs 10.4 kohm).
That said I loved the tightness and sound of the Super D. Sounded just a little clearer than stock.
Ionizer was great. Like a big fat single coil. Upper mids and treble lend themselves to soloing and chord work.
Next up will be the Seymour Duncan '59 7 and DD 7.....
