Two of my favorite bands are Protest the Hero and After the Burial. Are there any bands out there that combine the chaotic riffing/higher screams of PtH and the brutal grooves of AtB? Mucho appreciado if you give me something.

Maybe not the higher screams, but check Ever Forthright. Theyre pretty chaotic along with having sick groove :yesway:

There exists such a band.... Periphery. (possibly...)

If its not Periphery, then I'm sure you'll find it in the depths of prog metal.

Now, I like Periphery, but something about it gets boring quickly. They're an amazing live band, but a lot of their riffing sounds kinda mechanical, whereas with Atb and PtH the riffing seems more organic. Ya know?

I'll check out Ever Forthright and Corelia pretty quick...

Yeah, I know what you mean. The Meshuggah influences are pretty strong.

Yeah, and I can only take about 1 or 2 meshuggah songs at a time XD Maybe the new Periphery album will sound more unique since the entire band is helping write this time.

Hands down, the only band that comes to mind is Danza.
