I've heard it is apparent, yes. However, he keeps playing. People on the Petrucci forum were saying he almost looks scared, lol. Also, I know someone who was at that very concert and said JP's playing was pretty off that night. He bought the DVD and complained since most of it was overdubbed. He corrected a lot of mistakes. I told the guy that if I were JP and already had to be in the studio for an overdub, I'd be fixing all my mistakes too.

Coming from a very judgemental person when it comes to guitarists especially "shred" that was at the show: For the most part Petrucci was spot on. I was sitting relatively close to the stage and everyone around me said he sounded "just like the album" except some little tidbits in both Goodnight Kiss and Under a Glass Moon. People nag on him too much. With someone tripping over his cord I was glad he finished the song.
