I starting an online collab with a guy I just met (vocals) and I wanted to write something simple yet heavy as the intro track.

I spent a little bit of time mixing and eq'ing this and I thought it turned out pretty well! Let me know what you think! :hbang:

Guitar: Harmony single-cut (stock pups) into LE456 with a TSE808 and LeCab (one of the catharsis impulses)

Bass: Guitar played on the low A and pitch shifted

Drums: Steven Slate

Hey, nice!!! Sounds good, a little bassy to me but I like it.

Any chance of sharing some tips?

Curious to see the fx settings.

Sure man, what kind of help you looking for? :D

and in the video, it showed basically everything I was using for my guitar tone other than a noise gate. I just used Podfarm's noise gate and put that on about -37

I just meant like the eq screen shot or any other mixing that was done.

Did you use a limiter?

I like this combo a lot, the TSE 808 and the Le456.

One thing you NEED to do is cut the lows, put in an EQ and drop out everything past 50-60hz.

Something like this (ignore the level boost, I was playing along to post-compressed songs):
