which one do you guys think is better and why?

for me, i think it's the dual. it needs less volume to sound good and generally has a better tone.

Triple. I don't dislike the Dual, but you're not going to drive either into power section distortion at anything resembling a sane volume, so I like the added headroom of the Triple's power section, especially for playing 7 string.

I love my dual...I like the idea of more headroom,
but my Recto 412 can barely handle the dual,
even with 90 watt celestions... :hbang:

i would say triple. so long as it is series one triple rectifier. The new three channel ones just aren't as special sounding to me.JMHO

Hmm - I'm the opposite. I like the 3ch better.

Persopnally, my favorite non-roadking recto's been the Single, a Rect-o-Verb 50...

Ive had a 2 Channel Dual, 2 Channel Triple and a 3 Channel Triple.

2 Channel Triple is still by far my favorite amp ever. It sounded better the more you turned it up. And with the right setup on guitar, its tight as a drum. Not much of a clean channel though.
