Its easter weekend, I had planned to be out camping but instead I'm stuck in the house with a cold, its horrible out there anyway.
I decided to but the time to good use and assemble the parts I've been collecting for the past 6 months
bare wood a few weeks back, got the body last year from Area51
a lot of sanding
then a lot of rubbing
about 8 coats of TruOil
Neck and bridge from a RGA8
The body is an RG2228 so the neck isn't an exact fit, I glued a piece of laminate to the body to pad it out by 1mm, I then had to drill new holes on the neck, scary!
Copper in the cavities
Two switched pots, tone coil tap and volume kill switch
I made the cavity covers out of cd cases
I think the wooden knobs really finish it off
inspired by pondman - thanks, maybe one day I'll get a nice neck like yours to go with it.
