Who cares really? Every media outlet is a joke and so are all the politicians.:squint:

It's to late for predictions when the damage is already done.

Interesting video:agreed:

I think Karl Marx called it even earlier... actual value can only be created through actual labour.

Speculation introduces bubbles into an economy, which create the perception of growth up to the point that the system reaches a super-concentrated state. At this point, all it takes is a medium-scale disaster like Bear Stearns to trigger massive world-wide economic nucleation, where all the stupid decisions, hidden losses, inflation, etc simultaneously burst out of solution.

Imagine somebody adding a Mentos to a 2L bottle of Diet Coke, where the Coke is your savings, pension, job, etc.

Hold on to your fucking hat - this is only the beginning.

That is a good vid. Most stock commentators (and analysts) are nothing but a bunch of cheerleaders.
They cant admit when they are wrong and seem to only talk up stocks.

DailyShow gives CNBC a lashing hehe

Back in 2006 I was reading Bill Fleckenstein`s post at msn money alot. He
called the mortage meltdown then and it urged me go short and start buying
puts on the market since Dec 2006.
Thank God I read that blog.

What helped cause this mess was not speculation but
fraudulent fractional reserve lending allowing banks and
financial institutions to use leverage at stupidily insane levels.
Had there not been such a ponzi scheme such speculation would not have got so out of hand.
