I'm actually pondering building a 2x12 because, you know, I don't have enough gear

I'm also concerned there may be something wrong with the EV Thiele... it's reading 6ohms instead of 8 and I've tested the cable and that's not it

Most of the 412 cabs I've tested have read around 13 ohms. Speakers deal with ohms impedence rather than ohms resistance so unless you tested it before and the reading changed or tone quality changed, I'd say it's ok. The strength of the battery in your meter can effect the reading as well.. I haven't tried the eminence.. let us know how it works if you try one....

Hehe yeah man the SE is insane. It's got a built in bias meter, cable tester, and speaker ohm load tester.

Yeah and add to that the fact that it sounds amazing both quiet and loud both clean and with rip your face off gain :agreed:

Anyways if I do the speaker / cabinet thing I'll definitely be posting pics etc.

The Commonwealths are kinda more clean/bluesy speakers than anything else, but they do handle a shitload of power and will never ever distort.
