Engl blackmore problem. help!

Hi I just bought a used engl blackmore head. And the amp has one problem..

The problem is that the second mode of the clean channel (crunch) has really much noise. but the rest of the channels doesn't have any problems.

So I was wondering if someone recognizes this problem and have a solution for it. Is it some kind of tube problem or what could it be?

99% kohina/suhina tapauksista kyseessä on huono etuasteputki. Jopa uudet putket voivat syystä tai toisesta mennä huonoiksi hyvinkin nopeasti.

Kannattaa ainakin aloittaa tarkistamalla etuasteputket.

The problem is fixed now and the amp works great! It was just a bad preamp tube.
