Engl e530 with 8 string?

Hey everyone, ive noticed that some guy posted something about the Engl e570,
it made me curious because I too have been wanting one.
But, ive never heard one in person. I do play 8 string with either tuned down a half step or a whole step. I'm trying to find something that is bedroom and gig worthy, but I don't want something that farts on me at high volumes.
I like really glassy leads and bright bellish cleans.
so what I'm asking, is the Engl e530 a good choice for a an 8 string?

Depends on the power amp and speakers you pair it with. The "farting out" you're describing is very rarely a preamp issue.

True, what do you think would be a good pair up with the engl e530?

Well, a Fryette 2/90/2 and a Marshall MF280 would destroy, but may not be in your budget. A Carvin T100 and Avatar Contemporary will do just fine.
