The tuner post hole is too small? Weird.

You could use a drill bit to carefully widen the hole slightly.

Because you're drilling into piloted steel there's not all that much that can go wrong. You're actually closer to reaming than drilling. Find the largest drill bit that can fit into the hole, then move up to the next largest size.

If you know anyone with a Dremel or equivalent rotary tool, they may have the drill bit sizes for this, they typically come packaged with a half dozen small drill bits.

^^ With a dremel kit it will have a cone shaped stone aswell so you clean up the bur that the drill bit will leave and polish it smooth so it wont cut your strings. One of the best tools you can have!

I actually did mine with a very small drill bit just rubbing it around the edges of the hole :)
