I've been looking alot for an 8 string guitar but with thin shred necks like 0.770" or even 0.750", but the problem is, due to lots of string tension they are very fragile and can snap, dino cazares explains this here,
the thinnest i saw is the rg2228, and probably the dean rc8 is also very thin but i dont want such a fragile guitar.
so what's the solution? using very dense wood like maple for the neck?
and btw does anyone know any 8 string or baritone scale guitar manufacturer that have thin necks?
