I'm not really into this kind of homage and wouldn't get one of these, but my favorite Explorer (other than the Korinas) is the EII, so this is actually pretty cool.

Great looking guitar! It looks like a neck-thru-body design. The gold hardware also looks classy. The locking tuning machines are a real bonus. Congrats on your purchase.

Bill Kelliher had an Explorer that looked very similar to that one, his guitar was the first thing that popped into my mind when I saw this thread:

Wow, good ref there. It really looks identical, except for the bridge and the control looks.

Everything screams jackpot here, but for me the killer feature is that 25.75" neck ! Not a 24.75", finally !

It's neither, it's his Gibson. He had a similar Gibson signature though.

If one of you decide to pre-order it, then you should know that the NGD will be MANDATORY for this guitar

Gibson had an explorer slightly smaller figured top called an E2, not like the ESP sub brand.

His signature is sijilar but knob placement and neck binding trap inlays and such.
