 What is everybodies top 5 metal bands?

1. Kittie-This is one angry bitch. Her screaming is outstanding while also having a calming melodic tone to her vocie. To me this band is the female version of Metallica.

2. Metallica-All that really needs to be said is this :hbang:

3. Ozzy-He's the prince of fucking darkness, but I'll soon be the princess of fucking darkness.

4. Korn-Even though they are not the band of old, they got me hooked on playing seven string guitars.

5. Meshuggah-Death metal at its best.

:shred:

You know, I haven't listened to Kittie in a very long time, but last I did I liked it quite a bit. I wrote them off as a gimmick when I first heard _of_ them, but they're actually pretty damn good. :yesway:

1. "Old" Metallica
2. Iced Earth
3. Ozzy (Randy/Zakk eras)
4. Dream Theater
5. Tie between Megadeth and Fear Factory... I can't choose.

Kittie is one of the few bands with a female vocalist who can actually scream.

My top five are probably something like: Sevendust, Unearth, Old Metallica, As I Lay Dying, Soilwork -- or something. Actually I have no idea, but something like that...

Oh man, and now the question arises..."What does everyone consider metal?"

As far as definative metal (not just metal elements), the current ones are...
Opeth
Meshuggah
Dimmu Borgir
Nevermore
Anthrax

I'm telling ya....we are metal brothers! We reign supreme here!

Look, Drew and Vince already have a love affair going. Don't even start on that shit with him, because then I'll be obligated to fawn over Donnie and AJ. And I'm not fucking going there, damn you! :fawk:

Meshuggah. That's pretty much the only metal band I listen to.

If you like all that crazy time signature stuff, check out Spiral Architect. They have a great singer and their music's insane.

See...a few people have put DT as their fave. For me, they are in my top 5 of all time, but I don't consider them a metal band. Although, there are metal elements at times.

Well, they started off as a Prog-Metal band. Recently they've been less metal (Train of Thought notwithstanding, as that was all metal).
