Ahh, my good friend, Luke. He was in my previous band, Byaxis, for a while. Incredible musician. The old ST drummer, Dave, is now back in Seattle. I met up with him this weekend.

Every time I listen to Sleep Terror, Luke makes me feel like I should just put down the guitar for good. The guy is a madman!

Wow, difficult to limit to 5...I'll throw these in considering their entire careers, in no particular order.

Megadeth (pre Cryptic Writings)
Metallica (pre Black album)
Testament
Slayer
Nevermore (current fav)
Pantera
Meshuggah
Anthrax
Fear Factory (without Digimortal)

...and some bands/albums that can't be left out - Vio-Lence, Death Angel, Powermad (Mpls. own), MachineHead Burn My Eyes, ST, Stuck Mojo, Sepultura, Dream Theater, and my all time favorite...CREED!!!

Tell me about it. At one time, he was teaching me ST guitar parts because he wanted me as the 2nd guitarist. I thought I was a pretty damn good guitarist....until I started learning his stuff. I could play the riffs. The bitch was trying to play them at HIS tempo.

Old school...
1. Metallica (anything pre-Black album)
2. Megadeth (1st four albums)
3. Coroner
4. Sanctuary (the origin of Nevermore)
5. Pantera

A bit more current...
1. Nevermore :)bowdown: Jeff Loomis)
2. Mudvayne
3. Shadows Fall
4. Lamb of God
5. In Flames

(But then again, both lists are constantly changing from week to week)

Damn, it's hard to just pick a few.

I've been a coroner fan since the late 80's early 90's - thier first 2 LP's kicked some serious ass! These guys really rock and deserve a listed to.

Tommy V. Is an awesome player and excellent riff writer, which isn't exactly the most common combination. A sadly underrated band...
