So my brother download... errr bought the new Behemoth album - The Apostasy.. and when i heard one of the songs from it.. automatically i thought
" man .. the intro iz similar to teh Slave Labor" .. so i decided to make a vid .. comparing the two intros...

the guitar riffs are similar... and the breakdown in both songs at the 9th second ! .. wow...

Check it out and feel free to comment..

BTW in the vid.. i wrote "fell free to comment" .. of course my mistake

Sounds kinda similar, but the behemoth one is about 13-15x heavier and more awesome.

its just a variation on an open E chug. there's only so many combinations. Look at the Conquer all riff. its almost the exact same as Anthrax's "Be All, End All" But once again, the behemoth version is way heavier and awesomer (And I'm a huge anthrax fan).

I thought the timing was similar, but just the way they're played and the overall sound makes them pretty different in my book.

Honestly I don't think they sound that similar... the FF riff is more off-beat timing and interesting, and a little longer, whereas the Behemoth riff is more of a shorter hook.

Yes they're doing low string riffage but that's the only similarity...

just one man's crazy opinion ;)
