Hi everyone,
I know there is a lot of threads like this, but i would really appreciate some feedbacks on a track i recorded.
<object height="81" width="100%"> <param name="movie" value="http://player.soundcloud.com/player.swf?url=http%3A%2F%2Fapi.soundcloud.com%2Ftracks%2F22379956"></param> <param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param> <embed allowscriptaccess="always" height="81" src="http://player.soundcloud.com/player.swf?url=http%3A%2F%2Fapi.soundcloud.com%2Ftracks%2F22379956" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="100%"></embed> </object> <span><a href="http://soundcloud.com/girardjulien/song-of-storm-1">Song of storm Legend of Zelda Cover</a> by <a href="http://soundcloud.com/girardjulien">girardjulien</a></span>

Now i know there is quite some work that could be done on this track (the ending lead part is out of tune) But what i would need is constructive critisism regarding recording and tweaking the sounds of the differents instruments.

I used:
Ibanez guitars thru Pod HD500
Yamaha 4 string bass
Ezdrummer with DFH
Reaper

Thank you very much!
Edit: corrected the link to soundcloud

Enjoyed!

I like the feel on your lead guitar playing, nice vibrato and gargles. :D

Ending solo turned out nice, too.

So far as the recording mix;

1. No bass guitar

2. Drums too quiet, lacking in bass

3. outro harmony overdubs too loud

4. synth at the end too quiet

Maybe have another go at remixing this then move on to another project. It's nice guitar playing, that's for sure, but you would do well to do some more fun or novelty tracks to experiment with then work on some original material or covers in a style you want to learn from.

Thanks for the fun! :D

Thank you for your input, I'll try to make the bass guitar track stand out more, without taking over guitars. I'll try remixing it later.
Thanks again, i love to get those kind of comments!
