I played a Fender Hot Rod Series Blues Junior III 15W 1x12 today, and it sounded great, but how does it compare to a Vox Custom AC15C1 15W 1x12 Tube
They both seem to be in the same price range, but which is better in terms of live use, tone and versatility?

Two amps with very different voicings. You'll have to play both to see which one works with you and your gear better.

Depends on the context. What are you going to be playing? Who are you going to be playing with? What size venues?

I'm just gonna be playing indie rock and stuff like that. But I'm just wondering which is louder and which has better headroom.

The AC15 is a much brighter amp, so it may seem a little louder at times, but really they're going to be nearly identical as far as breakup goes, if setup similarly.
