Hey guys

I posted a while ago about splashing out on a seven and I've toyed
With the idea for a while and researched more and I'm Pretty sold on th idea.

Im probably hoping to spend about £500 and get one with a floating tremolo
And preferably ibanez as I really like the wizArd neck on the sixes, would
Picking up a used rg7620 be my best bet?
Also would it be better to avoid a 24inch neck, I have a 25.5 six string set
In c standard and have no problems with tension so I'm assuming it would be no problem for a seven string.

Any help would be appreciated and apologies for the essay

7620's are awesome guitars. Your 'best bet'
is to find something that suits YOU. If you like
super thin and fast necks, then definitely keep
your eye out for a used 7620. There's always
some for sale/trade in the classifiends section.

And ya, stray away from 24" scales, they're garbage
unless you're playing in standard tuning.

Probably badly phrased, by best bet I just meant best
In terms quality and value for
Money in my price range

7620/1527 with a pickup swap will be great, I've got a 7621 and i'm very happy with it, but the stock pickups are a little bit too bassy for me (but killer for jazz!)

If you like ibanez, get one for sure, I for instance would not grab a ibby 6er but can mess around with a 7, they sure know how to build a 7, 1527 for 600gpb tend to pop out, less if not in near mint condition.
Keep an eye on the classifieds section.

If you want an alternative, a good agile pro or elite gets you plenty for your money.

A 7620 or 1527 is a great choice. It really just comes down to taste and what fits you. They have great trems, which is a big thing for me.

See kids, the reason he says 24" scales are garbage, is because as he stated in his first sentence, he has found something that suits HIM.

Saying 24" scales are garbage is kind of flawed. Sure, I wouldn't want one, but once again, comes down to what suits the player in need :)
