To each his own. I have had my Ford Mustang Convertable for 3 years. Never any problems still to this day.

[action=Shawn]knocks on wood.[/action]

Seriously though, it is the only Ford I will drive. I love it.

If having recalls is indicative of an auto company's success or failure, then they all suck.

Closest thing to a ford I would drive would be a mazda

At least Ford had the cajones ot call a recall

Those mopar fuckers wouldnt recall a car if the wheels were falling off - I will never buy a dodge again as long as i live

American vehicles have the highest recall stats by far. GM and Ford have had some MASSIVE recalls in the last year to year and a half and almost helped GM go bankrupt at one point.

Narrator: "A new car built by my company
leaves somewhere traveling at 60 mph. The
rear differential locks up. The car crashes
and burns with everyone trapped inside. Now:
should we initiate a recall? Take the number
of vehicles in the field, A, multiply by the
probable rate of failure, B, multiply by the
average out-of-court settlement, C. A times
B times C equals X. If X is less than the cost
of a recall, we don't do one."
Business woman on plane: "Are there a lot of
these kinds of accidents?"
Narrator: "You wouldn't believe."
Business woman on plane: "Which car company do
you work for?"
Narrator: "A major one."

+ 1 on the trucks. My old dakota was always falling apart. The neon I had though, was a tightly built little car.

I've owned a Ford, 2 Dodges, and now I drive an Isuzu/Honda (my rodeo's the same truck as a honda passport), and my wife drives a Suzuki. I'm just a big fan of how the Japanese cars are made. Knock on wood, they seem to have fewer problems and last a long time.
