Saw Freak Kitchen, good band live. I'm not a huge fan of the band on CD but live they were pretty damn good. Mattius is the master of those harmonics and they were funny live! Totally worth seeing them. :hbang:

Some pictures... (vids will be later, I have some random shred ones and Blind)

Best song was Propaganda Pie! :hbang:

Gear wise, he was using his Caparison Applehorn in orange, grey and dark red (I think). He had it hooked into a Laney VH100R with a Laney 4x12 cab. His only pedal was a Crybaby Wah of sorts which he started to rage at and gave away to someone in the crowd. WISH I GOT IT!

Not huge on Freak Kitchen but I dig the hell out of Mattias' solo album, Freak Guitar. Must have been a fun show.

Freak Kitchen video!

They played some time signature game with the crowd, which was weird. He was like clap 3/16 and 5/16 which made the introduction to one of their songs that I didn't know! Was good shit though. :yesway:

Glasgow, Cathouse. It's a small shit venue, but alright for some bands if you like to get close.

They're playing London tonight I think, that's what Mattius told me.

I saw them in Brighton a couple of years ago. Stonkingly good live, but I love nearly everythin they do, so I'm biased :)

Mattias = funniest dude ever. He and Mikael Åkerfeldt should do a Swedish Metal Comedy Tour. Maybe get Rob Marcello in on it, as well.

I can only agree that these guys are awesome live! I got such a kick out of seeing them last winter, it's so refreshing to see such great musicians coming out to small venues after having done it for so many years and still have so much fun.
