I've noticed that I can't play leads very well while standing up. (Can't really play leads anyway
) Even with my strap high up like JP/Tom Morello, It seems that the guitar is angled differently somehow, which makes it very hard to play. The only way I can get close enough to the control I get sitting down is to rest a leg on something.
I don't see how guys like Nuno can play with their guitars this low and still be able to shred.
But like I said, I can't really play with my strap higher either.
Anyone got any tips/tricks for improving technique in the standing position? Is there a standing equivalent of the classical guitar position? Other than the obvious practise-more-while-standing-up.
"Play in whatever position is comfortable" isn't really working either, since nothing is very comfortable.
