Fun! :) Here's our latest. Starts pretty pop and gets more experimental for each song so if you're into that stuff I guess you could listen to the track list backwards :p

Ladies and gentlemen we have our second 9/10. This shit's amazing, great job dude! There is not a single thing I don't like about this. I'm amazed songwriters this talented aren't more known on this website. Pick a Pack and The Fall are so hard down my alley.

The recording quality is decent, but the songwriting is pretty stock, nothing really stands out. I'm sorry to say I'm not a fan of this. 4/10

I was really enjoying this until the singer came in. Clipping issues, too. I'm gonna go with 5/10 because the songwriting and riffage is very enjoyable, but I would definitely not listen to this again because of the vocals.

My debut from 2 years ago, instrumental metal with some orchestral stuff.
I listened to after a long time last week and still pretty happy with it myself.
Have a go at it if you feel like it!

So. Much. Clipping. I can't listen to this. 2/10. Songwriting's probably not bad and the tones are decent but dude the DAW volume meter must've been red for the entirety of the recording, it's non-stop fuzz.

Go on then.

Just gonna do one because I have to go soon. This is good. I like that you start off with a bang, rather than a slow intro. Mix is solid, songwriting's solid, just wish there was something a bit more creative going on, to bump it from a 7/10 to an 8.

Thanks for checking it out, yea the sources were ok but I compressed and limited everything to shit back then which didn't leave the most pleasant result  It's definitely something I have to keep in check for my next releases.

Death Comes Pale - World Grave (Deepsend Records, 2014)

Deathmetal in the vein of CC, Keep of Kalessin, the Crown - EP (Through Carrion Eyes), Full Album and some ruff B-sides.

I HEAR CLIPPING ON THOSE GUITARS

FIX IT

I should make a new rating of -1/10 and refuse to listen to every album that has heavy clipping.

5/10. Good songwriting, kind of stock. I think you can do better.

How's your tolerance for instrumental rock, in the Andy Timmons/Joe Satriani sort of vein? If that's a genre you don't really care for then feel free to skip over this, I'm not gonna ask you to listen to something you're just pre-disposed not to enjoy, but if you at least occasionally dig that stuff, have at it. This is a couple years old by now and thankfully while I can nit-pick the recording/mix/playing, I'm still not really embarrassed by any of it. I'm still slowly writing for a follow-up (another project is consuming all of my recording time) that's probably going to be a bit mellower and bluesier than this (and, after breaking through a few playing plateaus and seriously upgrading my signal chain, should be both better played and better recorded).

If you don't really care for it, at least do me the favor of properly roasting it in style. :) At a minimum, though, clipping should be minimal, lol. (though fair warning, if you start at track 1, "Whiskey & Laudanum", and not the preview track, "Red Skies," it opens with a solo acoustic guitar, and I absolutely mangled it in a record simulator :yesway: )

Feedback would be much appreciated

Put this out with my band recently, I have my own opinions on the good and bad parts but if you could make it through the whole thing with a solid opinion it would be a great help.

Personally proud of the solo on "Rocket Science" but feel free to crush my shred dreams!

If I wasn't so lazy I would just make a fake album with nothing but harsh noise mixed so god damn loud that it shouldn't even be humanly possible just to fuck with OP and his fear of clipping.

This may be the greatest thread I've ever seen. Seriously.
Well done OP! Most of the time we artists get apathy mixed with a few cheerleaders telling you it's awesome. Keepin it real yo!

I could throw you some of my slop, but I want to bring you my A game. New stuff in a few weeks I hope.

Alright, I'll play. Here is a single song; vocals aren't done yet, so it's an instrumental. Yes, I'm a fan of gain. No, I don't care if you can hear everything crystal clear. Yes, it is almost nothing but clipping. If it hasn't sucked out too much of your soul, there's an EP linked in my signature. https://soundcloud.com/kailm-1/blood-of-deliverance-a-dying-breed

1000 internet likes should come your way for doing this!

I fully expect not to get a response to this, or else to get a score that is not a positive real number (shooting for -1 + 7i or maybe a poop emoji) , which is cool: Naegleria Fowleri - Life Cycle (Microtonal death/grind parrotcore)

Also, you guys have some really fucking good music here. This thread is very humbling. :yesway:
