Well, there's a dress code that's implied at a prom. I'm sure there must be some kind of rule somewheres written down about it. Chicks can't go to school dressed as prostitots I'm pretty sure, so why should prom be any different? When I went to school, I'm sure I've seen chicks sent home or at least made to cover up if they were being TOO revealing. Showing off a little cleavage is one thing, wearing a bathing suit is another. I mean, I don't really care one way or the other, but I can definitely see why they banned her, and I'm not surprised at all.

Man, we could wear whatever the fuck we wanted to at my prom.
Now, her dress is VERY BAD TASTE, but wtf, ban her from prom for that? I mean, come on, I've seen worst than this. I think it's quite stupid that school rules applies on prom night, wich is a celebration of you actually leaving that school. Her beeing arrested is just way TOO much imo.

:2c:

:agreed:

Totally agree with this post.

I dunno, i dont see it that way. She's 17. And emaciated. If i were a cop and i saw her leaning over a car, i'd bust her ass and the guy who's car she was leaning over on. Shit, if i worked at the hotel, i'd politely tell her date that prostitutes are not allowed.
On top of that, she wasn't arrested, she was really escorted away. They said she was out that night and had no fines or anything. She was just being furious at the prom sponsor. Also, escorting an angry hooker away is something i'd call the cops for, too.

ARRESTED for that dress?

Give me a fucking break. If one can wear a bikini to the beach, then this dress, whether one finds it tasteless or not, surely is not even, by any stretch of the imagination, worthy of fucking being detained and charged by police. "Dress like a hooker, get treated like a hooker." Um... excuse, but doesn't a hooker actually do something illegal? What's illegal here... a crime against the fashion police? So, the next time I wear a bandanna and some Dickies pants, I guess I should be locked up for being a "drug dealer." Ricockulous to the Nth degree.

And I fail to see what "race" has to do with anything.

From what i saw there, she was escorted away cause she was yelling at the people who were organizing the prom, causing a scene and all. Its not like she just showed up and walked away when they told her she couldn't get in. If she would have, then probably nothing would've happened.

That..., and I believe part of her issue was she couldn't get her money back....

(offtopic)....and if 12 year olds want to have orgies with other 12 year olds, that's fine by me....since it was mentioned.(/offtopic):fawk:

IMO:

Wearing very revealing clothes in public = poor judgement
Getting arrested for it after you've offered to compromise and you've exercised your right to get your money back = SUPER out of order :noway:

There's a time and place for dressing like this. A prom is not the place. The beach or a club, yeah, but a high school prom, no. This should be common sense. I wouldn't have let her in either. Even her little compromise wouldn't have been anywhere near good enough. A prom is a place to show some class, and this shows none at all. My high school grad class was relatively large, and I didn't see a single girl at my prom dressed in anything remotely approaching this.

And as for not getting a refund...

At the three proms I went to, they all said that the money was non-refundable after a certain date (something like a month beforehand).
