mostly on the actual tone of the recording but I plan on using the riff too....

I haven't played any REAL Death metal stuff in a while and I kinda wanna do something in the vein of Bolt Thrower or Suffo... really minimalist and kinda down tempo......

whatya think?

LOL yeah it's a little lacking in the lows cause there's no actual bass track... I don't have one to record with at the moment.....

What I was goin for was kinda like Bolt Thrower-esque riffs with Modern CC tone

I absolutely love Cannibal Corpse's tone in general!

but I can't afford a recto let alone one of those EVM12l Black Label loaded cabs!

(wishes he had bought TMM's 2x12 when he had the chance :noplease:)

Doesn't seem to fit with the drums all that well, the rhythm of the riff not the tone.

When you're not palm muting you're definitely getting a Cannibal Corpse esque tone for sure.

The tone strikes me as a bit harsh on the palm mutes but it's pretty killer with the tremolo picked parts.

EDIT: Yeah, less mid and treble would be good I think.

I think it sounds pretty cool. Kinda Gateways era Morbid Angel-ish.

it sounds good, but the guitars need to be tighter with the drums. also, turn the drums up a bit (or the guitars down) so they act together.

i would speed the song up a little, to get a nice flow going.
