Good 1080p camera that has 24mp for under $800?

This is severly off topic but i figured some of you may help

i am looking to get a new camera preferably right around 600-800 to do the usual making videos, take great pictures of bands, ect ect.


i've been told to look into Canon and nikon so far and im a novie when it comes to Photography. so id greatly appreciate any advise you can give me. :metal:

I used to work at a local camera store for more than 10 years. Look at the canon T5i or 60D. Get a 50mm 1.8 and youre set up for some excellent images!

Nikon D3200. :yesway:

I'd also suggest Adobe Premiere Elements. It's good, simple, cheap, and great for basic video editing.

thanks guys i'll look into those cameras!

its cause lately i've been using my Iphones camera for videos and now that the lens is completely unusable. i'm forced to buy a new camera

Just about every dSLR has 1080p video lately, 24fps is the bare minimum that you need for shooting video, but I recommend finding one that can shoot up to 60-100fps, at least in 720p (you can always upscale it to 1080p with a small loss in clarity) just for more possibilities (like slow-mo, smoother action, ect...) Hears a link for BH photo video with all the modern dSLRs. You probably could get away with buying a Nikon D3200 and have some extra cash for a second lens or a cheap off camera flash (for photography)

The D3200/5300 or if you can find a Sony A65, the video on those is better than Nikon.
